Okay – this large Hungarian double bass is not everybody’s cup of tea, but we feel certain it’s somebody’s cup of tea – a very creative build, with quality work and flame figure carved into the back and sides. It has a giant presence, 1970s hippie-organic vibe for Roots players or Bluegrass maybe – “Old and In the Way” comes to mind. And the bonus is – this unique bass really pushes some air. It’s really fun to play and deserves to be a coffeehouse denizen for sure. A big price break makes it an interesting contender in the fully-carved category and worth a second look…
