Pöllmann Double Bass 1973 – E.M. Poellmann Contrabass No. 61 S No. 486

Lovely well seasoned Pollmann gamba, with ornament. As usual, this Pollmann has exquisite wood choices, and every facet of it’s build shows the unique craftsmanship of this unique Mittenwald producer. Four generations of Pollmanns have carried on the tradition (and the wood stock – they have wood that has literally been seasoned for more than a century!) – this 1973 model was most likely produced under the watchful eye of Günter Pöllmann.

This particular Pollman Double Bass sports beautiful tiger maple back and sides with deep arching, plus beautifully ornamented purfling and linings.

Very even in tone, great playability and comfortable neck.  Ready to come alive for a new owner!
