Description

Mittenwald Double Bass 1950s

Attractive fully-carved Mittenwald double bass, an excellent working musician’s bass with a gamba pattern on the smaller side. Signs of the past neck and scroll trauma, well repaired what looks to be 20-30 years ago. Top in great shape, some rib cracks, everything in good repair. Nice tightly flamed maple back typical of old-growth Mittewald wood stock. A fresh setup from our friend Dennis Roy makes this a comfortable player and ready to go!
