5/8 Bohemian Model Upton Double Bass This pearl of a bass was built for a high school, a flat back hybrid with a 40" scale length. Puts out tons of sound and ridiculously easy to play - only 20 pounds!!! We built a new form and reconsidered all of the dimensions for this 5/8ths double bass, including upper bouts and ff-hole placement. The time and care planning this update was immediately rewarded with great tone and response. We can build one for you!

Off we go, into the wild blue yonder! We've nicknamed this "Air Force One" although it's really our third bass for the US Air Force Band. Ironically, we are now providing fully-carved Mittenwalds to this stalwart musical force, having replaced a famous Mittenwald maker as their supplier of double basses.
