The carbon fiber double bass endpin rod is a quick and easy replacement for your existing steel double bass endpin rod. (10mm or 8mm diameter, 20″ long) Removable, sharp, heat-treated tip includes a special rubber cap. Carbon fiber double bass endpin rods are more than 80 percent lighter than comparable sized steel double bass endpin rods.
Many upright bass players comment that our carbon fiber double bass endpin rods give their double bass a lighter feel and can have positive impact on the sound and sensitivity of the playing experience.

I was surprised at how light this endpin is. The little rubber tip seems to fall off easily but the overall sound of the bass is not hampered by a heavy endpin. Next best thing to a wooden endpin.
