I just received the endpin tip in the mail and slipped it onto the existing endpin on my bass straightaway, no fuss at all. The rubberized foot that encases the metal cover is very sturdy and seems to hold to the floor well, should last for a good long time. Great product!

The metal piece goes on the existing endpin easily and locks on with a set screw. The rubber cover really appears to be a 1″ diameter rubber crutch tip, which should be very easy (and cheap) to replace when the rubber eventually wears out. This design is so well thought out, it seems like all basses should come with something like it. We are very happy with this product.
