Czech Double Bass circa 1920s, Vintage Bohemian Turned Hybrid
This early 20th Century Czech double bass features gamba corners and a compact design. The back was extensively damaged and replaced with plywood back years and years ago. A century-old hybrid! It’s a nice little bass with tons of character, with some added structural assurance. The modifications make this Czech double bass a great value, could always be modified back to a fully carved, but as is makes a fantastic “sleeper” for the working musician. All the character and patina of it’s age plus travel and gig toughness!
