Description
German grip double bass bow, stamped “G.W. Marquardt.”
German grip double bass bow. Substantial, a little hefty. Stamp seems to read “G.W. Marquardt,” mid-20th Century, very small shop. (We muse it could be the G.W. Marquardt we found who piloted the Enola Gay in WWII – any Utah connection out there?)
Fully octagonal all the way down, a little hefty, thick. Frog most likely not made by the maker of the stick, fully lined frog, abalone slide, Parisian eye. Ebony button, ivory tip. Copper winding adding weight, looks original nicely done.
