Customer Comments:

“I, as well as a bunch of other orchestra players I know, like to use Carlsson
double bass rosin most of the year and switch to Nyman in the summer months. I find it just too hard in the winter. I do sometimes like to use the Nyman’s for solo or chamber work though, because it seems to give a little bit quicker response and it doesn’t get gritty like the Carlsson
sometimes can.”

“I’m not sure how people can say Carlsson and Nyman double bass rosin are the same –
or even similar!
Nyman’s is quite a bit harder, and kind of more sticky to the touch. Carlsson is soft, and gets sticky when it’s warm. Carlsson will melt and leave a gooey mess in your bag, while Nyman’s usually won’t
unless it’s super hot out.”

I like the Nyman Rosin! A somewhat hard rosin, it works well in the desert climate where I live.
