Pirastro: Eudoxa Double Bass Strings

Pirastro: Eudoxa Double Bass Strings are perfect for arco or pizzicato playing and are an excellent choice for both orchestral and jazz bassists. They are considered the Gut Double Bass String. The sound is clear and brilliant, complex and rich.

A note from Pirastro:

The gut core of the Eudoxa double bass strings stretches more than other strings.

When the strings are initially mounted, the silk protective wrap will not completely reach over the nut. However, this will happen with time. The silk wrap needs to be longer in order to protect the entire portion of the string that is wound over the peg, even when the stretching process is finalized. This extra-long wrap helps to prevent the strings from breaking.
