Roger Lotte Double Bass Bow

Description

Roger François Lotte (1922–1989) was a French archetier (bow maker), born in Mirecourt, France. He began his apprenticeship under his father, François Lotte, around 1936, and became his main collaborator by 1940.  
Roger took over the family workshop around 1960, continuing the tradition and supplying bows to numerous Paris and Mirecourt shops even after his father’s retirement and death in 1970.  

This is a fine example of Roger Lotte’s work.
