This Czech-Ease™ Standard S1 Double Bass (2005, SN 108) comes with a Featherweight flight case and a Mooradian gig bag. It is setup with an Eb (E flat) neck upgrade, The Realist pickup, bridge adjusters, and Spirocore strings. The plywood body is highly durable and is easily transported by car. Although the truncated lower bout may look a little unconventional, it makes traveling with your bass easy—when all packed up for flight with its gig bag, this whole package weighs just under 59 pounds. The weight can be reduced to the 50-pound airline restriction by transporting the scroll and gig bag separately. This travel bass can be safely shipped inside its hard shell case to any destination worldwide using standard mail or package carriers.
This travel bass is in good condition—it was barely played by its former owner, and the tone is exactly what you’d expect for a Czech-Ease. It is a great instrument for a musician with a busy touring schedule—especially those who play amplified, or anyone prioritizing ease of portability. The Mooradian gig bag and Featherweight flight case are a great addition to this package deal, as they retail new for over $2000. The former owner brought it to us originally to get some setup work done to enhance its acoustic tone, but he ended up walking out with our UB Travel Bass with a patented removable neck instead.
