This fully carved, substantial Romanian has had a pampered life in the hands of an excellent musician. Originally set up and sold by Upton Bass (named a “Hawkes Panormo”), we’ve known this instrument since it was released into the wild.
Owned locally and professionally, and very well cared for. Neck reset by Upton Bass in 2010. This is a big bass – an early example of what would lead to our Brescian. Large body and deep ribs give ample low end and projection. It has a big defined woody, stringy pluck, currently set up for jazz with Spirocores.
Includes a K&K Bass Max Pro which combines individual string transducers with a wing pickup and blending box. Custom dot markers and rib bumpers.
