Description
John Juzek Double bass, Prague c1930’s.
This Juzek double bass was most likely made by the Wilfer workshop in Germany and imported into New York City where it became a Juzek. THe Wilfer workshop was started in 1905 and is currently still making double basses, now in the families fourth generation of ownership!
This bass includes a Mooradian bag, a new bridge by Upton Bass, a full circle pickup and is currently strung with Thomastik Super-Flexible strings (which surprisingly sound GREAT on this Juzek Bass, so while not our first choice of strings, we decided to leave them on).
