Description
Mittenwald Double Bass, circa 1900
Very nice gamba-pattern Mittenwald, Germany contrabass, fully carved with matched 2-piece flat canted back. Beautiful patina on the varnish.
Just gone through here at the shop and ready to play. Top off refurbishment, some cleats bracing revisited plus a full Upton setup including bridge and fingerboard. Sounds great, coming alive with the new setup – ready to tweak to your liking. A vintage pearl of a bass with the tuneup work complete! New Spirocores.
