Pictured here is a 2011 Upton Bass Travel Bass, a hybrid deluxe double bass specially built for jazz legend Marc Johnson. Marc was one of our earliest Travel Bass road warriors with this bass featuring our patent-pending removable/adjustable neck system.
Upon delivery, Marc immediately took this small, featherweight (19lbs!) bass to China on tour. This bass has traveled the world since, played in by the hands of a master, and has very little wear and tear. While Marc plans his next custom instrument, we offer this lovely bass to its next owner.
