The Upton Report Volume 184
Thank you for all the great eMails about the NEW
www.UptonBass.com website! So many
of you sent eMails in (including Gary Karr & Kristin Korb!) praising the sites great looks AND usable format. Thank you!
I love the pats on the backs (who doesn’t) but let us know if you see something off too! With over 17,000 links, 1,200+ pages, 500+ products (and all of their variations), 200+ reviews…sometimes things slip through the cracks! Most “fixes” are easy…and your feedback helps!
Marc Ramirez
Marc is the principal bassist with the Gulbenkian Orchestra of Lisbon, Portugal, and we’ve been working with him for several years now as Marc commissioned us to make a removable neck copy of his beloved Giovani Cavani double bass.
Last summer Marc came to visit UB and over a few pints Marc one evening, Marc told Gary & I about about the Filipino Youth Orchestra he’s been working with and how desperate they were for good basses, and we were more than happy to work with them on putting Upton Basses in their hands, and the basses are ready to be crated and sent on their way!
Marc just recently did a very popular segment on Contrabass Conversations, and we were humbled to hear him talk about his new Upton “Cavani” during the podcast.
Thank you for the opportunity Marc, it was a pleasure!
