Our good friend Marc Ramirez was excited to share with us the news of a fantastic young bassist who will be playing the Bass Europe “Grant Bass” Upton Brescian that Gary and I brought and donated to the organization in 2012 during the Copenhagen convention.
I reached out to Maria on FaceBook to congratulate her on winning and asked her for a bio about her playing career thus far so Upton Report readers could get to know her a bit, and then Michael Klinghoffer reached out to me as well as he was one of her nominators.
We’ll look for great things to come from Maria (no pressure!) and we couldn’t be happier to see our bass impacting the lives of young bassists around the world!
