D’Addario Helicore Pizzicato Double Bass Strings are constructed of a multi-stranded steel core that produces a bright tone quality and is optimized for maximum sustain and growl. With the help of DAddario Musician’s Advisory Board members, D’Addario designed several Helicore double bass string varieties, including the Helicore Pizzicato (HP Series). These D’Addario Helicore Pizzicato Double Bass Strings are made specifically for the bassist who plays pizzicato. All D’Addario strings are designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA.

Helicore Pizzicato Double Bass Strings are available in two gauges, which allows for good performance across many playing styles. 

• Medium Tension: optimized for a majority of players
• Heavy Tension: allows for greater projection and volume potential
