Velvet: Blue Double Bass Strings

Velvet Blue Double Bass Strings are the first string offering from Velvet that don’t have a silk core. Instead of natural silk, it has a synthetic nylon core that took nearly 2 years to develop. Velvet of Switzerland wanted to make an affordable string that still sounds like a Velvet product, following their philosophy of great articulation, big volume, great sustain, and equal tension on all 4 strings. Velvet Blue Double Bass Strings have it all: clean sound, fast response, and great sustain. They are a bit brighter than the silk cousins, but offer great articulation and nice volume. Similar in playability to Velvet’s Anima or Garbo, this string comes with a student price but a professional sound.
