Description

Larry Fishman developed the Fishman Full Circle Double Bass Pickup, inspired by Kiyohiko Yamaya’s invention from Japan. This piezo pickup integrates smoothly into an aluminum bass bridge adjuster. Compared to the original Fishman BP-100 Double Bass Pickup, which clipped onto the front of the bridge, the Full Circle is a significant improvement. The adjusters feature 1/4-20 threads.

Due to the custom installation method, we cannot accept returns. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We recommend professional installation for any double bass. However, the Full Circle offers a quick retro-fit for upright basses with height adjustment wheels.

Gary’s Thoughts: At Upton Bass, we recommend this pickup for instruments that struggle with even sound. It’s especially useful for those with characteristics hard to control with more “open” pickups. The compression from its integration in the bridge adjuster provides a smooth, predictable sound. If you prefer a more transparent double bass pickup, consider the Rev Solo.

Upton Bass String Instrument Co. specializes in building award-winning custom double basses and offers a range of accessories. We also service all instruments and bows of the violin family, providing world-class restoration and repair.
