Two great Uptons have just become available, both previously detailed here: The fully-carved “Murray” Concord, with all the Prescott cues and adjustable/removable neck, and the “Swift” Brescian, a big roundback hybrid with precision Irving Sloane tuners. We’ll put up full sale listings if they stick around, but we wanted to give Upton subscribers first dibs…
SOLD: Upton Bass Bostonian Model Double Bass, 5/8ths Size, 2011
Upton Bass Bostonian Model, 2011 Opus 18, “5/8ths” size. The original Lynn Seaton-specified version – modified to a 40″ string length and a slightly truncated lower bout. With the pattern of our first Karr model, the Bostonian features deeper ribs and Poplar for a warmer, darker tone. This bass, Opus 15 was built for comfort and quickness – students and bass guitarists take note!
